Law enforcers have served suspicion notices to three Russian servicemen involved in war crimes. Soldiers of the terrorist country of the Russian Federation raped a woman during the occupation of the Kyiv region.

This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. The perpetrators face up to 12 years in prison.

Three Russian servicemen who raped a woman in the Kyiv region during the occupation have been served with a notice of suspicion.

"The suspects are soldiers of the 37th Separate Guards Motorised Rifle Brigade of the Don, Budapest Red Banner of the Order of the Red Star (37th Separate Motorised Rifle Brigade of the Russian Federation, military unit 69647) of the Russian Armed Forces. They are natives of the Republic of Buryatia, Chita region and Irkutsk region of the Russian Federation," the prosecutor's office said.

According to law enforcement officers, in March 2022, the suspects, together with other servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces, occupied a settlement in the Kyiv region. They intimidated civilians, searched for men and members of the anti-terrorist operation forces, and constantly inspected all the premises of civilian houses.

"After 20 days of occupation, the Russian military, including the suspects, began to systematically invade the yard of a private house where two women and a young girl lived. They always did this in groups of three, the composition of which was constantly changing. They constantly demonstrated the presence of weapons, given the absence of men in the house, and took one of the women in turn to the garage, where they raped her. Others stayed outside at that time to overcome possible resistance from her relatives and neighbours," the Prosecutor General's Office said.

It was established that one of the perpetrators committed sexual assault once during the occupation, the second committed such acts twice, and the third committed such acts every day for a week. The occupiers were notified of being suspected of violating the laws and customs of war.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the Security Service of Ukraine has collected indisputable evidence of the guilt of another Russian Armed Forces serviceman who took part in the shelling of peaceful cities. This is the occupier who dropped eight bombs on a TV tower in Kharkiv last March.
