Kyiv-Basket defeated direct rival in battle for silver Super League

Kyiv-Basket defeated BIPA 73:68 in the Lviv game of the men's Super League regular season.

The first half of the game was an even contest. In the middle of the second quarter, BIPA managed to create a small margin of 8 points, but Kyiv fought back and, thanks to a dunk by Zaplotynskyi, went into the break winning 37:36.

And at the end of the third quarter, thanks largely to several successful attacks in a row by Kingsby, Kyiv took a lead that reached +12 at the beginning of the last quarter. But BIPA responded with a 2:13 spurt, cutting the deficit to a minimum with 2 minutes left in the game - 67:66. Kyiv-Baskett played better in the end, winning the game.

Thanks to the victory over its rival, Kyiv-Basket retained second place in the table and is making a serious bid for medals at the end of the season.

Kyiv-Basket's American legionnaire Danya Kingsby was the most productive in the match, scoring 29 points. Unguryan scored 20 points for Odesa, while Kabatsyura had 18 points and 7 rebounds.

Tomorrow, on March 17, Kyiv-Basket will play against Politekhnika-Halychyna, while Odesa will play a rescheduled game against Cherkaski Mavpy in Yuzhne on March 24.
