Which winter houseplants are poisonous

With the onset of cold weather, housewives try to fill their homes with coziness by decorating them with beautiful indoor flowers. But you need to be careful if you have pets because some plants are poisonous to them.

OBOZ.UA has compiled a list of winter indoor flowers that can harm animals. Despite their beautiful appearance, toxic plants will negatively affect the well-being of your pet.

Holly

This ornamental tree is often bought for Christmas because it has shiny green leaves with sharp edges and red berries. But these fruits are inedible, they contain a chemical compound that is highly toxic to dogs and cats. Eating the berries causes vomiting, diarrhea, high blood pressure, and in some cases can even lead to death.

It is an evergreen shrub that has dark green leaves with jagged edges, 10-15 cm long.
