Occupants threaten civilians with punitive actions for not having a Russian passport

In the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region, the invaders continue to terrorise the civilian population. In particular, the occupiers are forcing people to apply for so-called Russian passports.

In case of refusal, Russian troops threaten residents of the Kherson region with punitive actions. This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of the morning of March 20.

At the checkpoints of the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region, the occupiers threaten the local population with illegal imprisonment and violence in the absence of Russian passports. Putin's terrorists threaten to take such punitive measures against Ukrainians during further document checks.

It is noteworthy that the terror intensified after Russia's chief war criminal, Vladimir Putin, issued a decree on a simplified way out of Ukrainian citizenship for holders of Russian passports. The Kremlin said that the termination of Ukrainian citizenship takes effect from the date of submission of an application to the Russian Interior Ministry.

Recall that Russia continues to issue its passports to residents of the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories. At the same time, the occupiers make a special note in the documents of Ukrainians that they reside in the territories occupied by Russia permanently.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian occupiers had intensified repressions in the temporarily occupied towns and villages of the Zaporizhzhia region. They want to force Ukrainians to take passports of the aggressor country, and those who disagree are abducted.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the Russian authorities are actively trying to lure their citizens to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Russians are encouraged to move to the "new Russian lands" in every possible way, inventing new methods for this.
