Later there were reports that the area of the fire exceeded 400 square meters.

"According to our information, the fire spread to the roof of Unit 5. Eyewitnesses say they heard a pop before the fire. According to the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations, 46 people and 15 units of equipment are working at the scene of the emergency," a popular Russian blog wrote.

Meanwhile, there are images of the burning power plant in the network. Dense black smoke is billowing into the sky above it.

Recall, the day before, June 13, in St. Petersburg broke out a powerful fire at the production plant. A wall of smoke rose at an enterprise on Vitebsky Avenue, near the Kupchino metro.

According to Russian media reports, the Russian Emergencies Ministry involved 8 units of equipment and 40 people to extinguish the fire.
