In the village of Vapnyarka , Odesa district, Odesa region, storm waves pinned the mine to the shore. After a while it detonated, damaging a house on the coast.
This was reported on July 26 by the local edition"Dumskaya". The Odesa regional military administration added that two mines exploded in the water not far from one of the beaches in Odesa region (to watch the video, scroll to the end of the page).
The media, citing eyewitnesses, said that a sea mine in Vapnyarka was discovered near one of the buildings placed on the coast. Locals filmed on video how the ammunition, which had come off its anchor, was rolling over in the water and being beaten by waves.
The mine eventually exploded. A beach house was damaged. There was no information about casualties.
"Storm in the Black sea led to an increase in mine danger. This morning near one of the beaches of Odesa region in the water exploded two mines, the type of which could not be established", - reported in the Odesa regional military administration.
