A slow cooker is a versatile device and an indispensable assistant in the kitchen. It really helps to save time and effort by simplifying the cooking process.

The only downside is washing. The slow cooker should be washed regularly, after each use. And it's not just the bowl, lid, and valve. Wiping the inside with a damp cloth is not enough. Read the OBOZREVATEL article on how to safely clean a slow cooker.

For high-quality cleaning, a two-step method is suitable. You don't have to buy expensive detergents or make special solutions.

The necessary ingredients:

Step 1. Take a small bowl and pour ammonia into it.

Step 2. Put the container with ammonia on the bottom of the slow cooker, after removing the bowl.

Step 3. Leave the container with ammonia in the slow cooker for several hours, or better yet, overnight. The ammonia vapor will clean the surfaces. It is important to close the lid tightly for the ammonia to work.

Step 4. Remove the container and pour out the ammonia. Scale and carbon deposits can now be removed quickly and easily with a damp cloth.

Step 5. You can additionally wipe the slow cooker with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda.
