Often, it is impossible to fall asleep at night because the cold constrains the body, and sleep does not come. However, there is an easy way to quickly warm up in the cold season.
According to Liverpool Echo, citing Georgia Metcalfe, co-founder and creative director of The French Bedroom Company, if you have trouble staying warm in bed, you might want to try making one small change to your daily ritual. According to the expert, it all depends on the type of pajamas.
Metcalfe noted that many people believe warm pajamas, which many of us receive as a gift for the New Year holidays, are the best for sleeping on cold winter nights. However, the expert emphasized that this is a misconception.
She emphasized that for greater comfort at night, you should consider changing your pajama set.
"Silk pajamas and a pair of soft socks will help you feel warmer while improving your sleep," she said.
Among other secrets to a good night's sleep, she mentioned a warm blanket and a room temperature of about 18°C.
"If you need an extra layer for warmth, place a velvet bedspread over your bedding, and if you want something more luxurious, try cashmere," Metcalfe advised.
The expert also suggested that those who still can't get warm should try using a bottle of warm water.
"A heating pad or, if you don't have one, a bottle of warm water has many benefits for the body, including relaxing muscles, preventing lactic acid build-up, and relieving any aches and pains," she explained.
The expert also advised heating only the bedroom in the evening and choosing warm fluffy socks for sleeping.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, experts have named plants that can improve sleep by their presence in the house.
