How to quickly get rid of clutter in the apartment: tips from a professional
Sometimes, a home can be so cluttered that it's hard to know where to start cleaning. The mere realization that it needs to be done can be overwhelming.
The Express quotes the advice of Lizzie Grant, founder of Declutter on Demand, a company that provides professional cleaning and organization services in the home. She shared tips on how to quickly and easily get rid of clutter in an apartment.
According to the professional, the main thing is to focus on what you want to achieve.
"For example, if you're decluttering for an upcoming move, focus on getting rid of anything you don't want to pick up, move, and decide later if you need it. If you have guests coming over, concentrate on tidying up the rooms they will be staying in and using. If you are running out of space, you should concentrate on decluttering drawers, cabinets, and other storage areas to make room for things that are anywhere but where they should be," the expert advises.
"If you want to get rid of junk quickly, it has to be focused!" said Grant.
She added that cleaning up your home can be a real challenge. Therefore, the expert advises to "set a reward" for completing the work. This, of course, is not a material reward, but the realization of what conveniences or satisfaction all this work will eventually bring.
"Maybe it's actually the satisfaction of having your guests come to stay or having a party at your house. Or maybe you'll be able to renovate part of your house later on. It could even be selling your property at a better price or saving money on moving," the expert explained.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the blogger showed a life hack for cleaning the refrigerator. According to her, to get rid of the unpleasant odor, it is enough to use simple things that are in the kitchen of every housewife - water, vinegar and vanilla.
