How to clean the oven to a shine: a professional method
Cleaning the oven is a chore that we often put off until later because it seems difficult and tedious. However, choosing the right products and tools can make all the difference.
OBOZ.UA asked professionals for advice. And cleaning experts say that proper cleaning of an oven stained with grease and dirt can be no more difficult than washing dishes.
Start by soaking the racks. Put them in a large enough place, such as a bathtub, cover them with hot water, and add a dishwasher tablet or laundry detergent capsule. Leave to soak for an hour or two, depending on the degree of dirt. If necessary, add a little boiling water to keep the water hot. Then wipe off the soaked grease, clean the racks with a sponge, and rinse them under running water.
To clean the inside of the oven, use a tool such as a metal paint scraper. It will help to remove dirt without leaving small scratches, unlike a metal sponge.
If the layer of burnt grease is small, baking soda and vinegar can help. Prepare a baking soda paste by adding a little water to the product, apply it to the stains, and sprinkle vinegar on top. When the two substances stop foaming, remove the dirt with a scraper. You can repeat the procedure if necessary.
If your oven is quite dirty, you will need to use special factory products. A spray cleaner or a special paste or foam will gradually dissolve even stubborn deposits. However. you will have to wait from one to three hours for them to work properly. Do not forget to thoroughly wash off all residues so that the product you choose does not affect the quality and taste of the dishes you cook in the oven.
