For the first time in history. Ukraine's national team finishes the Biathlon World Cup with an anti-record
On Sunday, March 19, the final, 9th round of the Biathlon World Cup ended in Norway. The Ukrainian national team failed to win a single medal in all 9 rounds, which was the first time in the history of our country's performances at the most prestigious biathlon competition on the planet.
The best result of the Yellow and Blues at the 22/23 World Cup was the 5th place taken by Artem Tyshchenko, Artem Pryma, Denys Nasyko and Anton Dudchenko in the relay in Estersund.
In their first season (1992/1993), Ukrainian athletes won two medals at once. Nadiia Belova took silver in the individual race, and Valentyna Tserbe-Nesina took bronze in the Lillehammer Olympic sprint, which also qualified for the World Cup.

From that moment on, during every season, Ukrainian biathletes brought back at least one award from the World Cup.
Last season, Artem Tyshchenko and Darya Blashko won bronze medals in the single mixed relay at the 5th stage in Oberhof.

Ukrainian fans saw their idols win their last gold medal in the 2018/19 season. Back then, Julia Dzhima sensationally won the individual race at the 1st stage in Pokljuka.
