Explosion in a multi-storey building in Kyiv: Klychko reports two dead, search operations continue
Rescuers continue to clear the rubble in the house where there was an explosion on the night of June 22. According to preliminary information, two people died, and the search continues at the site.

"There was an explosion after 3:00 today. Six apartments were destroyed. Preliminarily, two people died as a result of the explosion in a 16-storey building in the Dniprovsky district of the capital. Two of the victims are hospitalized, and two medics provided assistance on the spot," - said Klychko.
According to him, 18 people were rescued from the damaged apartments. In general, people were evacuated from all houses of the house. Search and rescue work continues, the causes of the explosion are being clarified by specialists.
In addition, Klychko specified that the city has already identified two boarding schools in the Dniprovsky district for the temporary accommodation of people from the damaged house.
"Work is underway to remove the debris - all services are on site, working. There are 126 apartments in this house. After some time, experts will be able to say whether the house is suitable for further operation, whether the supporting structures are damaged or not. It will be a little later. Later, we will be able to name the cause of the explosion - it could be gas, it could be explosives. That is - we are waiting for an expert opinion", - concluded the mayor of Kyiv.
