Russia suddenly starts talking about the occupiers' failures in Bakhmut

Russian propaganda suddenly changed its rhetoric when talking about the "battle" of Russian troops for Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. After the DPR leader's adviser said that the occupiers had "surrounded the Ukrainian Armed Forces", Russian media were quick to assure that this was not the case.

Russian journalists, citing the military, noted that there was no question of encircling the city. The failures of Putin's troops were confirmed by RIA Novosti.

"We are not talking about any complete encirclement of the Ukrainian group in Artemivsk (as the occupiers call Bakhmut - Ed.). According to the source, there are fierce battles in the forest plantations near the road that connects the city with Khromove," the Russian media outlet wrote.

It is noteworthy that the propagandists' justification came after reports from their colleagues on the same day. On the morning of April 21, the Russian media replicated the statements of Yan Gagin, an adviser to the leader of the DPR Denis Pushilin.

It was he who gave the Russian propaganda a "tip-off" that the Russian Armed Forces had "taken the Ukrainian Armed Forces group" in Bakhmut. In addition, he stated that mercenaries of the Wagner PMC had "taken over" the road between the city and Chasovyi Yar, which was allegedly used to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"They took control of several hundred metres, which makes it impossible to supply the garrison. So, the lid of the boiler is essentially closed," Gagin said.

The day before, he claimed that Bakhmut was "fully controlled" by the occupiers, who had "liberated" about 90% of the territory. Then these words of the invaders' accomplice were denied by the American Institute for the Study of War.

Recommendations

Today, fierce fighting is taking place in Bakhmut as the Ukrainian Defence Forces hold back the Russian invaders' advance and prevent them from gaining new ground. The Russian Armed Forces are using their usual scorched earth tactics and are simply levelling the town to the ground by dropping bombs.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, soldiers of the 30th Separate Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated the occupiers who wanted to set up an observation post near Bakhmut. The "cotton" covered the invaders when they were just taking up shovels.

Thanks to the strikes from the soldiers of the 3rd Separate Mechanised Brigade, formed on the basis of the Azov Territorial Defence Unit, a dozen Russian army soldiers were neutralised in the area of Bakhmut. Among them, an occupier who was trying to launch a drone towards the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was eliminated.
