China's Defence Minister presents Lukashenko with a set of cups: the web is laughing. Video
Chinese Defence Minister Li Shangfu, who arrived on an official visit to Belarus, presented self-proclaimed President Alexander Lukashenko with a porcelain tea set. The dictator was visibly delighted with this generous gesture and said that he would send the set to a Belarusian factory so that they could learn how to produce cups like in China.
"Because no one knows how to make them better than the Chinese. We will definitely use your experience," Lukashenko smiles. The footage of the gift was published by propaganda media.
The online community began to actively discuss the gift given to the impostor by the Asian guests. Some believe that Lukashenko, as a connoisseur of household items, will use the cups in his household, while others are convinced that the politician expected something more significant for the security of his country from guests such as the Chinese Defence Minister.
Social media users also believe that Lukashenko deliberately insulted the Chinese guests by saying that he would teach Belarusian craftsmen to produce porcelain on a par with the thousand-year experience of Chinese artisans. In any case, such a cute souvenir from such serious guests of Minsk caused irony and ridicule.
Li Shanfu's arrival in Minsk at a time when Poland and the Baltic states are calling for the strengthening of their border security is due to growing concern over the appearance of Russian mercenaries in Belarus. In addition, there have been new attempts by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to create tension by directing the flow of migrants to the borders of neighbouring states.
As previously reported by OBOZREVATEL, Lukashenko himself is also known for his passion for giving practical gifts. The self-styled president marked his last visit to Zimbabwe by presenting a tractor to President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
