Chelsea head coach Graham Potter has said that Ukrainian Mykhailo Mudryk is likely to take part in the next Premier League match against Leicester. The 47-year-old specialist noted that our compatriot faced difficulties at the new club due to the fact that he was not in a playing tone due to the winter break in Ukrainian football.

Potter said this at a press conference before the game against the Foxes, Chelsea's official website reports. The Aristocrats' coach also said that one of Mudryk's rivals Raheem Sterling was experiencing health problems after the Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund.

" Mykhailo is definitely part of the rotation. He is a player we have a lot of faith in, he is adapting to the new situation. When he arrived, he was in a state of starting to prepare for the second part of the season, so it's not easy to just come and get into the Premier League. But day by day and week by week, he's getting stronger and stronger, so with Leicester he'll be in the squad and there's a chance he can play," Potter said.

Chelsea beat Borussia Dortmund to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Mudryk sat on the bench for the entire match.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, after one of his unsuccessful matches for Chelsea, Mykhailo Mudryk lost his temper and arranged a frame-up for the fans on social media.
