British intelligence: Ukrainian strikes on the Russian Black Sea Fleet will affect Russia's ability to carry out a naval blockade

The destructive and well-coordinated strikes of the Ukrainian Defense Forces on the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol caused serious damage to its combat capability and more, according to the UK Ministry of Defense intelligence, "The facts" reports.

This does not mean that Russian ships have lost their ability to launch cruise missiles. But, most likely, according to the intelligence, they will not be able to continue wider regional patrols, and the actual blockade of Ukrainian ports will be reduced.

Also, the ability to protect their assets in ports and conduct scheduled maintenance is likely to deteriorate. A dynamic, deep-water battle is underway in the Black Sea. This will force Russia to take a reactive stance, while demonstrating that the Ukrainian military can undermine the Kremlin's symbolic and strategic projection of power from its warm port in occupied Sevastopol," the British intelligence concluded.

As you know, Ukraine has made significant progress on the maritime front in recent weeks. The GUR forces returned the Boyko towers to Ukraine's control, after which they successfully attacked the port of Sevastopol, hitting two vessels at once - a missile cruiser and a submarine. The other day, a missile strike destroyed the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea, along with dozens of Russian servicemen.

Our naval attacks have already become a problem for the Russians: insurance for their merchant ships has risen significantly, and they no longer have enough warships. This gives Ukraine the opportunity to unblock its ports for exporting all kinds of products and not to depend on the Grain Agreement imposed on us by the Russians.
