Belgorod region complains about attacks on an enterprise that produces components for electronics
In the morning of October 3, Russia complained about the shelling of Belgorod region. Russian propagandists reported seven hits on the Monocrystal plant in Shebekino.
This company produces synthetic sapphires used, among other things, in electronics. One of the Russian propaganda Telegram channels writes about the shelling.
"Right now, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are shelling the Monocrystal plant in Shebekino, Belgorod Region. According to our data, there have been seven arrivals since 7:18 am. At least one shell did not explode," the propagandists said.
They also emphasized that Monocrystal is "one of the world's largest producers of synthetic sapphire, which is used, in particular, in electronics. In particular, in the Apple Watch".
Meanwhile, local governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that there were no casualties as a result of the shelling. But he indirectly confirmed the target of the shelling.
"The town of Shebekino came under fire from the Ukrainian armed forces. There are no casualties. The shells landed on the territory of the industrial zone. Operational services are clarifying the consequences on the ground," Gladkov wrote.
As a reminder, on October 1, Russia claimed to have shot down drones, but explosions were heard in Shebekino and Sochi that day, and a plant was reported blown up in Smolensk
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, three out of four drones hit a plant producing Kh-59 missiles in Smolensk. They accurately hit the buildings of the Russian military enterprise, causing significant damage to its production facilities.
And near Sochi, the Main Directorate of Intelligence successfully attacked a helicopter parking lot in Adler, while in Bryansk it flew to the airfield.
