Just an hour later, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed that the city was once again "under drone attack." According to him, Russian Air Defense Forces "shot down" a UAV near Lyubertsy.
"There are no casualties or damage reported. Emergency services are working at the scene. Thanks to the military for not letting them spoil our day of knowledge!" the head of the capital of the aggressor country said.
The Russian Defense Ministry claimed that the drone was "Ukrainian." Propagandists also published a video from surveillance cameras that recorded the sound of a UAV being allegedly shot down in a town near Moscow.
The "Carpet" mode in the Russian Federation is announced if "undesirable flying objects" are noted in the sky.
The departure and arrival of more than 40 flights were delayed in Domodedovo and Vnukovo Moscow airports on the morning of August 31 for the sae reason. At that time, the Moscow authorities said that the Russian air defense had "successfully shot down" one drone flying at the Russian capital.
The UAV attack was also reported in Bryansk. The Russian Defense Ministry assured that the Air Defense and Russian Police Forces "destroyed" as many as four drones. At the same time, Russians complained that it was very loud in the city but journalists recognized the drone's fall on the administration hotel and near the regional administration.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Russian territory was attacked by drones 25 times during August 2023, according to British intelligence. It is noteworthy that most of them reached their targets.
