An amazing giant object found in space: what mystery is it hiding

A mysterious cloud with a strange shape was detected in space

The universe conceals many mysteries, and humanity is not yet able to comprehend them. Strange patterns on the surfaces of other planets, explosions that contradict the laws of physics, the undiscovered Planet X - the list of mysteries really is inexhaustible.

Astronomers have recently discovered a giant cloud orbiting a dark object in space, the first results of which were published in The Astrophysical Journal .

They described the so-called giant tadpole as an "isolated, peculiar compact cloud".

What object the bizarre cloud of gas revolves around is still under debate. The cloud itself is gigantic in size and looks like a tadpole.

Scientists have voiced a number of theories. According to one, the dark object is a black hole. Its size can be truly staggering. Researchers from Japan, led by Miyuki Kaneko of Keio University, believe that the likely black hole is a hundred thousand times larger than the Sun.

Explanations for the unique shape of the cloud have not yet been found. There is still no exact data on how many black holes exist in our galaxy. But if the "tadpole" theory is confirmed, there will be another one in the Milky Way.

The giant cloud is located in the constellation Sagittarius, about 27 thousand light years from Earth.

By the way, some scientists believe that the black hole is slowly consuming our galaxy, but so far the Earth is protected from its influence.
