Among the main versions of the plane crash in the Donbass with two Ukrainian Mi-8 are considered malfunction of equipment, shelling and sabotage. A number of expert examinations have been scheduled in the case.

As a result of the tragedy killed six servicemen, aircraft completely destroyed. This was reported in the State bureau of investigations and the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk specialized prosecutor's office in the sphere of defense of the Eastern region, criminal proceedings have been launched under the preliminary legal qualification of violation of flight rules or preparation for them (Article 416 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The State Bureau of Investigation noted that special attention during the investigation will be paid to the study of the technical condition of helicopters and compliance with the rules of preparation for flights.

Specialists will also study the version of sabotage or defeat of helicopters by the enemy. In addition, specialized experts will conduct a thorough diagnosis of flight recorders.

"As part of the investigation, a number of expert examinations have already been appointed, urgent investigative actions have been carried out. Preliminary qualification of the offense: violation of flight rules or preparation for them (article 416 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 15 years", - added. in the State Bureau of Investigation.

A farewell to the pilots will be held in Poltava. A memorial service is scheduled for September 1 at 10:00 near the Holy Dormition Cathedral. The names and circumstances of the deaths have not yet been disclosed for security reasons.
