A miracle solution that will dissolve limescale on faucets

How to clean faucets from limescale

Not every product can remove limescale. Most of them clean the faucets only lightly, creating the appearance of cleanliness and shine. Thus, thorough cleaning is required to remove deposits.

Limescale is formed when the mineral salts in hard tap water settle on various surfaces. The Mirror has published a recipe for an effective solution that will quickly cope with the problem.

How to remove limescale

Glass shelves are the easiest spot to remove limescale. However, removing deposits from taps, faucets, bathtubs and plumbing is usually quite difficult. You need to choose a cleaning product that is tailored to the surface.

Natural cleaning products do a good job of removing dirt and, unlike chemical liquids, do not cause health problems. Expert Ivan Carrington told BBC One that four available ingredients are enough to remove limescale.

Step 1. Pour a little white vinegar on the cloth.

Step 2. Wrap the cloth around the areas with the most limescale and wait 20-30 minutes for the acids to work.

Step 3. While the chemical reaction is taking place, prepare a paste to clean the sink. The mixture is very simple: mix salt and lemon juice with a little baking soda.

Step 4. Apply the paste to the stained areas with a cloth or sponge. You can also use a toothbrush.

Step 5. Rinse off the remaining vinegar and paste with water.
