Car manufacturers try to create a model so that it is memorable. Some cars have become so famous that they are known all over the world.

Hot Cars has compiled ten of the most famous car brands and their most influential cars that have helped shape the company's brand. Each of these classic autos has shaped the world of vehicle manufacturing as it is today.

Volkswagen - The Beetle

The Beetle is an icon of classic cars. Since its inception in 1938, the auto has been a model of popular car culture and remains an affordable option to this day. For Volkswagen, the Beetle was the car that encouraged them to move and improve.

The Beetle was designed as an affordable car that could be mass-produced and made available to the general public. Because of this, the Beetle was an amazing success for decades, with 23 million units sold worldwide in 81 years of production.

Honda - The Civic

The Civic was first introduced in 1972. It was then improved and the car became one of the most popular compact cars all over the world. It is an economical small car that has been a favourite option for many buyers.

Ferrari - The F40

Ferrari is the world's most famous supercar manufacturer, symbolizing passion, excellence and speed. The F40, named in honor of Ferrari's 40th anniversary, featured a lightweight carbon fiber body, advanced aerodynamics and a powerful twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 478 horsepower. Its advanced technology and record-breaking performance set new standards for supercars.

Ford - The Model T

The Model T was the first car to be produced on a large scale using assembly line technology, which meant that the automobile became an affordable form of transportation for the masses for the first time. One of the major revolutions in the Model T was the introduction of the concept of interchangeable parts and standardized components.

The price of the automobile dropped from $850 in 1908 to around $290 in 1924. The automobile industry changed forever from that point on.

BMW - The M3

Porsche - The 911

The unusual design made the 911 popular and influenced a generation of sports cars. Many sports car technologies were first used in the body of the 911. The company draws inspiration for the design of other models from this legendary car.

Lamborghini - Miura

The Miura was the first two-seated rear center-engined supercar. The team wanted to develop something that would not only drive on the open Italian road but could compete on the track as well.

The original iconic Miura from the 60's had a powerful V12 engine, which combined with the car's light weight made it perfect for the road and track. Not only was the Miura incredibly popular upon release but it also initiated an entire rebranding of Lamborghini.

Renault - The 5

Renault was once one of the best manufacturers of compact cars. The car designed for urban roads had an unusual design. The characteristic compact body with clean lines, rounded edges and large windows was practical and versatile, offering a spacious interior despite the car's small size.

Nissan - The Skyline

The first car was created back in 1957. Some models featured turbocharging, advanced electronic systems and all-wheel drive. The Skyline also featured innovations such as active rear-wheel steering and advanced computerized traction and stability systems.

Chevrolet - The Corvette

The Corvette is an iconic American sports car that influenced the automotive industry significantly. Introduced in 1953, the Corvette has become synonymous with performance and style. The Corvette's status as an American icon and its impact on the automotive industry solidified its position as one of the most influential sports cars in history.
