In Fastovsky district of Kyiv region on the territory of Boyarsky forestry grows a unique oak tree. It is more than 450 years old and is a witness of the heyday of the Ukrainian Cossacks.
About it reported in the press-service of the State ecological inspection of the Capital district. Since 2018, the territory where the tree grows, is included in the Forest Reserve of local importance "Monash forest".
"Khodoseevsky oak - grows in Boyarsky lesnichestvo and is actually one of the oldest trees on the territory of the forest fund of Boyarsky LDS. Its grandeur is astonishing, because the coverage at breast height reaches 4.87 meters. Scientists estimate the age of this natural wonder at more than 450 years, making it a living witness of past eras, in particular the heyday of the Ukrainian Cossacks", - said in the press service.

Specialists of the environmental inspection emphasized that the territory where this majestic tree grows is unique. It is part of the Khodosov archeological complex "Round Hill" - one of the historical and cultural sites on the territory of the forest fund of the Boyarsky Forest Research Station.
