Fruit yogurts with added cereals
This product is one of the most commonly consumed in a healthy diet. Meanwhile, it often contains neither fruit nor a significant amount of healthy bacteria. It's just a source of empty calories. It is a marketer's fiction that adding wheat or other grains to fruit (or pseudo-fruit) yogurt will make it better and healthier. Such yogurts are also not desirable to include in the daily menu. Avoid all sweet desserts, puddings, cereals, and homogenized cheeses. Natural yogurts, natural kefir and cottage cheese are recommended alternatives, to which you can add some oat bran and your favorite fruit.
Roasted nuts and peanut butter
Although nuts, especially walnuts and almonds, are a valuable part of the daily diet, heat treatment significantly reduces the nutritional value of most nuts. Roasted and salted nuts, which are saturated with unhealthy fats and sodium, are especially undesirable. The situation is similar with peanut butter.
Jams
They are often considered a substitute for fruit, especially homemade or low-sugar fruit. While fresh fruit also contains many other nutrients, such as minerals, vitamins, and phenolic compounds, canned fruit is practically sugar. Therefore, we cannot say that they have a health potential.
