The most harmful candies: why sweet gifts for children should be avoided
During the winter holidays, all children are always given a variety of sweet gifts. It is especially convenient for schools and kindergartens to distribute boxes of different types of candy and chocolates to kids. But this initiative should be abandoned.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine on its official Facebook page has talked about the dangers of sweet gifts for children. They need to find an alternative.

Boxes are usually bought ready-made. It is quite difficult to check the quality of the candy inside. Usually, such sweets contain a lot of "free sugars". They contribute to obesity and cause problems with teeth and skin.
As for lollipops and caramels, they contain a lot of harmful dyes. These are the sweets that attract children's attention the most.

How much sugar can children consume
The Ministry of Health notes that for people who consume 2000 kcal daily (most adults who are inactive), it is up to 50 g per day (10 tsp). The Ministry recommends halving this amount.
Healthy marshmallows to give to children
Instead of boxes of candy and chocolate, it is better to give children healthy sugar-free pastilles or dried fruits. It can also be seasonal fruits.
