If you want to prepare a tasty and satisfying appetizer very quickly, choose canned meat or fish, as well as waffles. They make a delicious alternative to cutlets and chops.
What to cook with waffles and meat
Cook Olha Matviy shared a recipe for a delicious appetizer made from canned fish, waffles, and spices on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- waffles - 1 package
- rice - 200 g
- onions - 3 pcs.
- sardines - 500 g
- eggs - 4-5 pcs.
- basil pepper - 0.5 tsp.
- rosemary - 1 sprig
- salt, dill, mayonnaise - to taste
- oil.
Method of preparation:
1. Boil the rice in advance in salted water. Let it cool. Cut the onion into small cubes, season with salt, and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown. Drain the sardines, transfer them to a bowl, mash them with a fork and combine them with rice. Add spices and finely chopped dill.
Filling for the dish
2. Slice the waffles, moisten them with water, and roll each into a cone. Put the filling, press down a little, and dip in the batter of eggs and salt.

4. Fry until golden brown.
