One of the most popular and easiest beetroot salads to prepare is Shuba, which is made with herring in the classic version. However, if you don't like herring, you can replace it with baked mackerel or sprats.
The FoodOboz editorial team shares a recipe for a delicious beetroot salad with sprats, garlic and mayonnaise.
Ingredients:
- sprats - 200 g
- beetroot - 300 g
- potatoes - 230 g
- carrots - 170 g
- onions - 50 g
- eggs - 2 pcs.
- mayonnaise - 200 g
- garlic - 1-2 cloves.
- salt - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Boil and grate the beets. Grate other vegetables as well.
2. Marinate the onions so that they are not bitter.
3. Assemble the salad in layers: sprats, mayonnaise, grated potatoes, mayonnaise, onions, mayonnaise, carrots, mayonnaise, eggs, mayonnaise, beets and mayonnaise again.
