How to cook the oatmeal so as not to spoil it: an unusual idea
It is a well-known fact that oatmeal is a very healthy and nutritious product. But what you combine this superfood with is also of great importance. If you add yogurt with a lot of dyes and preservatives, a lot of sugar, and chocolate, you won't be able to call it a healthy dish. That's why you need to choose the right ingredients.
Inna Levenets (inna_levenets) shared the idea of making healthy oatmeal on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- oatmeal – 70 g
- Chia seeds – 2 tbsp
- ripe banana – 1 pc
- syrup/honey/cane sugar – 2-3 tbsp
- vegetable milk – 400 ml
- water – 100 ml
Ingredients for the topping:
- banana
- oil – 2 tbsp
- cane sugar – 2 tbsp
- berries
- nuts
Method of preparation:
1. Mix oatmeal, chia, sugar, and mashed banana in a saucepan.
2. Cover with water and vegetable milk.
3. Cook until tender.
4. Fry another banana, cut in half lengthwise, in a frying pan with oil. Sprinkle with sugar in the process.
5. Serve oatmeal with fried bananas, berries, and chopped nuts.
