Meatballs are a dish that can be quickly prepared for lunch or dinner. Traditionally, they are made with minced meat, and often with cereals such as rice or buckwheat, which makes the dish very satisfying. If you want your meatballs to be juicy and hold their shape perfectly, use minced chicken as the base.
Food blogger Yulia Fedorenko (fedorenko_pp) shared a recipe for chicken meatballs in tomato sauce on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- minced chicken - 300 g
- eggs - 1 pc
- hard cheese - 50 g
- onion - 50 g
- tomato paste/tomatoes - 300 g
- salt
- green onions
Method of preparation:
1. Chop onion and grate cheese.
2. Mix minced meat, egg, cheese and onion. Add salt and pepper and mix until smooth.
3. Form meatballs.
4. For the sauce, mix tomato paste and chopped onion. Put in a pan.
5. Add meatballs and simmer under the lid for 20 minutes.
