Homemade processed cheese from simple products: easy to make
Homemade processed cheese is a great alternative to a variety of chemical spreads from the store. And you can prepare such a dish in no more than 10 minutes. All the ingredients are very simple and budget-friendly - you just need to whip them up.
The idea of making homemade processed cheese for sandwiches was published on the Instgaram page of food blogger Anastasia Skriba (nastya_skriba). If you follow all the proportions, the consistency of the cheese will be perfect, and it can be easily spread on bread.
Ingredients:
- cottage cheese - 500 g (any fat content)
- butter - 80 g
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of sugar
- 0.5 tsp of soda
- 1/4 tsp. citric acid
- any greens as desired
Method of preparation:
1. Put the cheese in a saucepan.
2. Add the butter.
3. Beat the egg.
4. Add salt, sugar, baking soda and citric acid.
5. Beat everything with an immersion blender until smooth. The mass should be such that it can be scooped up with a spoon.
6. Transfer the finished curd to a bowl.
7. Add the chopped herbs.
8. Stir and spread on bread.
