Homemade mozzarella with 2 ingredients: how to prepare the perfect addition to salads quickly and correctly
Mozzarella cheese is an ideal ingredient for making salads and delicious snacks. It can be prepared very easily and quickly at home, for which you must choose high-quality milk and cook it properly.
Cook Valeriia shared a recipe for delicious, flavorful homemade mozzarella on Instagram, which is made with only 2 ingredients.
Ingredients:
- fresh milk – 3 liters
- vinegar 9% – 8-10 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Heat the milk until warm.
2. Turn off the heat and stirring constantly, add vinegar, continue until the curd and light yellow whey are separated. At the same time, do not forget to stir, gathering the curd into a single ball.
3. Remove and squeeze out the excess whey.
4. Add 1 tbsp. of salt to the whey (if you like salty mozzarella, add 2-3 tbsp.) and stir until very hot and turn off the heat.
5. Put the cheese in the hot whey and start stretching it, but take it out and dip it in the hot whey again each time. The mozzarella will become more uniform and elastic.
6. Use your hands to form one large or many small balls. Immediately transfer it to ice water to stabilize and cool the mozzarella, after which it can be eaten.
