The idea of making Philadelphia cream cheese from sour cream was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname zhuravlina_cooking.
Ingredients:
- sour cream - 400 g (at least 20% fat)
- Greek yogurt - 240 ml (8% fat)
- salt - 1 tsp
- lemon juice - 1 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Mix sour cream, yogurt, salt and lemon juice and set aside for 1 minute.
2. Put a sieve in a deep bowl and roll up the cheesecloth in 3-4 layers.
3. Pour the entire mass onto the cheesecloth and tuck in all the edges.
4. Put a plate on top and a put some pressure on the plate (it can be a half-liter jar of water) and refrigerate for at least 12 hours.
5. After the time has passed, you get about 500 g of the finished product.
