Writer Oksana Zabuzhko joined the Berlinale jury: what is the Ukrainian woman known for, who is among the top 100 women of the year

Ukrainian writer Oksana Zabuzhko has joined the international jury of this year's Berlin Film Festival. Together with European and American stars, she will evaluate the films that will compete for the Golden Bear and beyond.

During the introduction of the judge to the film lovers, they did not forget to mention the war between Russia and Ukraine.

"Oksana Zabuzhko, who wrote her first poems in her youth, is perhaps the most famous living writer in Ukraine and has published more than 20 books, including poetry, prose, and nonfiction. She first studied philosophy at Kyiv University and then defended her doctoral dissertation at the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, after which she taught as a visiting professor at such US universities as the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Pittsburgh, and Harvard," the description reads.
