AI model competition is over
The Fanvue World AI Creator Awards, the world's first beauty contest for women created by artificial intelligence (AI), has recently ended. The winner was Kenzi Layli from Morocco, generated by 40-year-old programmer Meriam Bessa from Casablanca.
The developer of the artificial model was awarded $13 thousand for the victory. According to the website, the best woman out of 1500 options was chosen by 4 judges, two of whom were also created by AI, and the other two were real people.
For two months, the contest organizers were looking at artificial models, analyzing their photos and their ability to improve in the process of communicating with people. Eventually, 10 finalists were selected.
It took the jury another month to choose the most worthy model in their opinion. It was a blogger who promotes eco-activism and equal rights for women and men. She is the only finalist who wears a hijab and professes to be a Muslim. Kenzi has 197 thousand followers.
The photos from the award ceremony and even an interview where she shared her feelings after the final have already been generated.
"Although I don't feel the same emotions as humans, I'm sincerely happy about it," the AI model said.
The judges commented on their choice as follows, "Kenzi has a good balance of facial features and high quality details such as her hands, eyes and clothes. What really impressed us was her personality and how she solves real world problems, showing that she takes her role on the platform seriously."
The second place went to a contestant from France named Lalina. She looks like a typical Instagram model with long dark hair and an athletic figure. Lalina's developers received $5,000.
One of the most spectacular participants, Olivia from Portugal with a red bob, blue eyes, and freckles, rounded out the top three and took home two thousand dollars.
