Where and when Eurovision 2024 will take place: Ukraine to perform in the first semi-finals
On Sunday, February 4, Ukraine finally chose its representative at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest 2024: a duo of Jerry Heil and alyona alyona and their song Teresa & Maria will defend the honor of our country. The singers will travel to Malmö, Sweden, where the main show will take place, traditionally divided into two semi-finals and the finals. It is already known that Ukraine will perform in the first semi-finals. It will take place on May 7.
The second semi-finals and the grand finals are scheduled for May 9 and 11, respectively. OBOZ.UA will tell you everything that is known about the show in Malmö.
It is known that Jerry Heil and alyona alyona will perform not only in the first semi-finals but also in the first half of this broadcast. Our singers will be joined by representatives of Cyprus, Poland, Serbia, Lithuania, Croatia and Ireland.
Slovenia, Iceland, Finland, Portugal, Luxembourg, Australia, Azerbaijan and Moldova will perform in the second half of the first semi-finals.

The second semi-finals, as we have already mentioned, will take place on May 9. Austria, Malta, Switzerland, Greece, the Czech Republic, Albania, Denmark, Armenia, Israel, Estonia, Georgia, the Netherlands, Norway, Latvia, San Marino, and Belgium will compete for the next decisive stage.

The exact order of the performances is not yet known
The founding countries, or the Big Five (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom), as well as the current winner Sweden, will go straight to the grand final. They will also be able to vote during the semifinals.
The first semi-finals, during which the Ukrainian duo will perform, will be judged by Eurovision fans from Sweden, the UK and Germany. The French, Spaniards and Italians will be able to vote in the contest on May 9.
The organizers of this year's Eurovision are already actively preparing for the show. In particular, they showed what the stage will look like. The designers combined moving LED cubes and a cross-shaped stage to create something unique. The platform for the performance will be located not at the end of the hall but in the middle of it.

The stage itself will resemble a cross and will be divided into cubes. From above, the audience will see its reflection, and the contours will be highlighted with separate lighting. The arena will be surrounded by spectators on at least three sides.

This is the third time the contest will be held in Malmö. Previously, musicians and Eurovision fans gathered there in 1992 and 2013. The last time, by the way, was also after the victory of Loreen, who won the crystal microphone for the second time in 2023.
The city for the international competition was chosen through a long competition, where the ability to host thousands of people, crews, fans and journalists was analyzed. Infrastructure and dozens of other criteria were also taken into account.
"Malmö's commitment to sustainable development and environmental initiatives is also perfectly aligned with our values, making it the perfect host city for the 68th Eurovision Song Contest," Eurovision's Executive Director Martin Österdahl explained earlier.
As previously reported, bookmakers predict Ukraine's confident victory at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. After the announcement of the National Selection results, according to which Jerry Heil and alyona alyona will go to Malmö, the chances of our country increased from 15% to 16%.
