On August 5, 1999, a girl was born in Thailand, named Supattra, and later nicknamed Natty. The parents' happiness at the birth of their daughter was mixed with surprise, misunderstanding, and even fear. The child's entire body was covered with an excessive amount of hair, which shocked not only her mother and father, but also the doctors, who admitted that they had never seen anything like it before.

Later, doctors found out that Natty had a very rare skin condition called Ambras syndrome. This condition is so rare that only 50 cases like this one have been documented in the world. OBOZ.UA decided to find out how the girl listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's most hairy has changed.

Ambras syndrome causes excessive growth of body hair, except for the palms, soles, and inside of the mouth, which is probably due to a sudden change in DNA.

When Natty was first born, her mother wanted to leave the hospital, but the doctors did not want to let her go, fearing that she wanted to keep the baby. However, the woman assured her that she would never leave her daughter, despite her syndrome, and added: "We were lucky to have her in our family."

Indeed, Natty's parents surrounded her with love and care. The girl grew up surrounded by loving people, but when she went to school, she was forced to face the cruelty of the world. Her classmates insulted her in disgusting ways: they called her a "monkey" and a "wolf," ignored her, or, on the contrary, pointed and laughed.

However, this did not break Natty. The girl realized that she was unique and special, and that's exactly what her peers didn't like. "I am who I am," said the unusual beauty. Meanwhile, her teachers described her as a diligent student with good grades who loved to sing, dance, perform on stage, was lively and open to everything new. When other children realized that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, Natty made a lot of friends. Moreover, over time, she became one of the most popular kids in the school.

There is no cure for Ambras syndrome. Conventional hair removal does not help slow or stop the growth of body hair. When she was a teenager, she decided to shave her face for the first time. Now she does it almost every day, because hair grows back very quickly.

Despite her disability, Natty managed to love herself, and later fell in love with a guy she had been friends with for a long time.

"It all started with friendship, then we became a couple. Our conversations brought me happiness. We feel comfortable together. It was the kind of love I didn't expect. I didn't think it would ever happen to me," Natty said.

Later, the girl married her beloved. Now she regularly posts photos with him on her social media and admits that she considers herself really happy. In the pictures, Natty poses without facial hair. Because of this, many people thought that the girl was cured. However, the beauty's father explained that she shaves regularly because she wants people to see her eyes, lips, nose, and cheeks.
