"Welcome to Europe!" The network showed how children have fun with the hit of Eurovision 2024
On the eve of the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, which will take place on May 9 in Malmö, Sweden, a video of children dancing to the track of one of the contestants has been posted online. In the video, the kids energetically sing the song "Europapa" by Joost Klein from the Netherlands.
The rhythmic composition has become a real hit among European fans. So far, the Dutchman's video has garnered almost 24 million views.
Joost Klein will perform at the end of the second semi-final today. The rapper will take the stage at number 19, thus closing this stage of the competition. Since the Eurovision Song Contest, bookmakers have been praising the Netherlands - for a long time, the singer was in the top 5 of the rating.
However, after the first rehearsals at the Malmö Arena, the performer's chances decreased - now Joost Klein is ranked 7th in the list.
Nevertheless, experts believe that the Dutchman will definitely make it to the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 grand final: the odds of the Netherlands' passage are 93%.
As you know, Jost Klein wrote "Europapa" as a heartfelt letter to his father, who died of cancer when the rapper was only 12 years old. It could have been a gentle acoustic ballad, but instead the artist recorded a real hit that fits organically into the atmosphere of the "Euroclub". According to the author, the song is also a pro-European anthem.
Earlier, OBOZ.UA told about the representative of the Netherlands at Eurovision 2024, including his position on the war in Ukraine. Recently, the singer said that he likes to be a "cynical observer in this matter".
