Warring Princes William and Harry met in tragic circumstances, but wanted to hide it: eyewitnesses told how the brothers behaved

Prince William and Prince Harry met in the UK for the first time in a long time

Princes William and Harry met at the funeral of their uncle Lord Fellows on August 28. For the first time in a long time, the brothers were in the same room amid their bitter feud, which continues to this day.

Sources close to Harry said that he would skip the memorial service in Snettisham, Norfolk, citing his security concerns in the UK. But the prince secretly flew out of Los Angeles to attend the service, the Daily Mail reported. Despite hopes for improved relations, eyewitnesses said the feuding brothers "kept their distance," did not speak to each other, and "sat separately in the back of St. Mary's Church after arriving."

Lord Fellows, who died last month, was married to Lady Jane Spencer, sister of Harry and William's mother Diana, and also served as private secretary to the late Queen. The news about the new edition of the Duke of Saseki's biographical book "The Spare" added fuel to the fire. Immediately after Prince Harry's memoirs hit the shelves of bookstores, a disagreement arose between members of the royal family, as King Charles's youngest son accused his brother William of pulling the blanket.

Over the past 12 months, questions have been raised about whether Harry would update the paperback edition with a new chapter – in light of his father's cancer diagnosis and ongoing family tensions. But the fact that he has decided not to add new revelations may be seen by some as an attempt to smooth over family differences. The family was last seen at Charles's coronation over a year ago. However, they sat separately and were not photographed together. Before that, William and Harry last met at the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth in 2022.
