Ukrainians arranged a surprise for 20-year-old model Alina Ponomarenko at the "Miss Universe" international beauty pageant. Citizens of our country who currently live in Mexico decided to support the girl and send her a touching letter.
Miss Universe Ukraine 2024 shared a touching video on her Instagram page. She noted that she was very impressed by the unexpected gift.
"Ukrainians living in Mexico came to support me at the "Miss Universe" pageant. Oh my God, I can't describe my emotions when I saw these incredible people with Ukrainian flags, thank you," the model wrote.
During the emotional meeting, citizens of our homeland presented Alina Ponomarenko with a large bouquet and wished her victory in the beauty contest. They handed the girl a touching letter saying that she could always count on the support of her fellow citizens.
"Remember: wherever you are, you are not alone, Ukrainians are with you. You are the Queen! With love, Ukrainians in Mexico City! Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!" the note read.
