A reference to Ukraine was found in the song of the BTS singer

In the video for the song FRI(END)S, released by the lead singer of one of the world's most popular South Korean bands BTS, V (Kim Taehyung), we found a reference to Ukraine. To be more precise, about Ukrainians who have been fighting the invading Russia for more than two years.

The users are sure that this is not a coincidence, but a conscious gesture of support from the singer's team to his fans in Ukraine. In five days, the video garnered more than 15 million views, topped charts in almost 90 countries, and entered the Ukrainian charts on YouTube.

It currently ranks seventh on the chart. According to Variety, in less than a day after its release, the track topped the iTunes best songs charts in 87 countries.

On YouTube, FRI(END)S immediately hit number one on the Global Top Music Videos chart, a daily ranking of the most popular music videos on the platform. The song has been popular for almost a week now, making it one of the most famous tracks of 2024 so far.

At the 2 minute 27 second mark, all these millions of listeners can hear a news story in the background, which tells about Ukrainians. The users heard it clearly: "Ukrainian people in this war," which prompted them to think that the singer was supporting Ukraine.

On TikTok, videos on this topic have received tens of thousands of likes, and the comments praise the artist and emphasize that his videos are made very carefully, so there is no room for any "accident" in the frame.

"Nothing happens by chance in their videos. I've long been convinced of this," "Not a single frame in this video is an accident," "If they didn't want to, they would have turned on something else," the star's fans said.

Interestingly, the track FRI(END)S has no political overtones. The artist sang about the friendship between two lovers that has not yet developed into a romantic relationship.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that BTS was mobilized in 2022. All members agreed to serve in the army, so their work was suspended for two years.
