The Ukrainian delegation was fined at Eurovision Song Contest 2024, which took place in Malmö, Sweden, for violating the rules. The Ukrainians hid T-shirts with the inscription "Free Azovstal defenders" under jackets to be allowed into the green room by security guards.

Later, when the grand final was being broadcast live, the team members took off their clothes so that the call could be seen by the whole world. This was reported by rapper alyona alyona, Ukraine's representative at Eurovision 2024, on her Instagram page.

The artist noted that the security carefully checked everyone. Any brand or inscription was covered with black tape, or they asked to remove the item altogether.

According to the star, the team went around several printing houses, some of which simply refused to make the print. However, they did manage to reach an agreement with one: the Ukrainians called the employees five times and tearfully asked for help.

"We knew that when they would show replays of all the artists' performances, they would also show the delegation itself. So when the camera came up to us, our team quickly opened up and showed our appeal to the whole world," the performer says. "We took a big risk, but it worked out. We just got off with a financial fine."
