The opening ceremony of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 took place in Liverpool, UK, on Sunday, May 7. All the participants from 37 countries walked the traditional turquoise carpet, including the representatives of Ukraine - the TVORCHI duo. They appeared at the large-scale event, which was watched by millions of Euro fans around the world, in symbolic costumes.
The jackets of the duo's members, Andriy Hutsulyak and Jeffrey Kenny, bear the names and weights of the prematurely born children during Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This was reported on the official Instagram page of the Eurovision Song Contest in Ukraine by the Public Broadcaster (scroll to the bottom of the page to watch the video).
On the eve of their departure to Liverpool, TVORCHI became ambassadors of an important project called "Caring People Save Children's Hearts". The goal of this initiative is to raise UAH 10 million to purchase 10 incubators to save premature babies. On the first day of the project's launch, we managed to raise more than $200,000 (over UAH 7 million).
