Tina Carole's song, which was created with Oscar-winner Diane Warren, is submitted for Grammy
Famous Ukrainian singer Tina Karol stunned with the news - her new composition One Nation Under Love, presented in Ukrainian and English, has been submitted for nomination for the most prestigious music award "Grammy". The song was written with Oscar-winning American composer Diane Warren, who has written hits by Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Cher and other iconic artists.
Karol shared about her achievement on the air of "Snidanku z 1+1". The Ukrainian hopes that the composition will be able to get into some of the nominations of the award, and perhaps even win.
"This song is up for various Grammy nominations. We'll see! Even our symphony orchestra is also nominated for a Grammy. Next we'll see if they give us a short shortlist or a longlist. I don't know", - commented the People's Artist of Ukraine.
Carole also shared that she came up with the idea for the song One Nation Under Love right after the full-scale invasion. All the while, the singer was looking for a composer who could create a really powerful melody.
"I went for a long time with the idea that it shouldn't just be a song, it shouldn't just be a composer, it shouldn't just be a project. Here's the maximum it can be, it has to be the maximum it can be. I approached a lot of producers, managers. There were some who said we'd do it, but they didn't do anything. When I saw Warren, she saw that fire and that I was catching on. She said she loved my energy. She is extraordinary, she really supports Ukraine," Tina shared.
Warren herself said after the release of the song that she admires Ukraine, considers it a leader and believes in its victory.
"I wrote a song about a country that I sympathize with, that I admire, that has to fight for its freedom. About a country that is not an enemy, but is reasonable, value-oriented, capable of uniting nations, proving that it is a leading country. I truly believe that Ukraine will win. I was looking for a voice that can convincingly perform a social song to the world, and I saw this scale of voice in Tina Karol. Glory to Ukraine! Victory and resilience", - stated the legendary composer.
