Olha Kuzmenko died at the age of 76

Barbara Kuzmenko, the daughter of the legendary singer Kuzma Scriabin, who passed away in early February 2015, has revealed how her family has experienced another painful tragedy. Last fall, the singer's mother, Olha Mykhailivna, passed away.

According to Barbara, her grandmother fell ill very unexpectedly for her family, and her condition deteriorated very quickly. The artist's daughter admitted this in an interview with OBOZ.UA.

"She fell ill right at the same moment," Barbara says, "and everything developed so quickly that when the ambulance took her away, they found sepsis and kidney failure. She was bedridden for some time... This is a very painful topic for us. My grandmother was a very active person all her life, and we lost her almost at the same time."

Olha Kuzmenko worked as a teacher at the Novoyavoriv Music School all her life. She passed on her great love of music to her son. In 2012, Kuzma Scriabin wrote the famous song "Mam", which he dedicated to Olha Mykhailivna. She was probably the first person to hear this composition and, according to Andrii, she appreciated it, saying that if her son creates such heartfelt works, it means that she raised him right.

The mother was incredibly fond of her only son. When Olha Mykhailivna was once asked in an interview why she and her husband hadn't had another child, she was surprised to answer: "Why, when I have Andrii?" After Kuzma Scriabin's death in February 2015, Olha Kuzmenko wrote three books about him.

Olga Mikhailovna was a very strong and extremely principled woman. "She called a spade a spade, bad taste a bad taste, laziness a laziness, a scoundrel a scoundrel, talent a talent. Kuzma got the wide world, the mockery of racism and hypocrisy from her," journalists who met her for interviews wrote about her.

After Andrii Kuzmenko's death, his mother repeatedly publicly stated that she did not believe that the tragedy that happened to her son was a fatal accident. Olga Mikhailovna believed that the accident was planned.
