Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminate three Russian sports and film stars
The Russian occupiers sometimes have local celebrities in their ranks who decided that acting or sports fame was not enough for them at home, so they went to Ukraine with weapons to secure the title of murderers and terrorists. However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully eliminated them.
The deaths of Russian stars differ from those of ordinary soldiers only in that the former are more often reported by propagandists. OBOZREVATEL decided to tell you which Russian celebrities are no longer alive thanks to Ukrainian defenders (to see the photos, scroll to the bottom of the page).
Yevgeny Kolyasnikov
At the end of 2022, the Ukrainian Armed Forces killed the lead actor of the Russian film Vanka, Yevheny Kolyasnikov. He joined the Russian army voluntarily and chose the Zapad-Akhmat group.
The occupier was killed in the village of Marianivka, Donetsk region. According to propagandists, he was killed by a bullet in the heart.
Maxim Barkhatov
Five-time world powerlifting champion (2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012) Maxim Barkhatov was killed near Bakhmut in April 2023. The occupier fought in Ukraine as part of the Wagner PMC. In May 2022, he was sentenced to six years in a high-security prison, but Barkhatov decided to choose a different path and become a fertiliser on Ukrainian soil.
The terrorist had a family that probably supported the bribe-taking athlete's decision to kill Ukrainians, but instead received his body in a package.
Sergei Uvitsky
Another Russian suicide bomber who enjoyed some popularity in his terrorist country, Sergei Uvitsky, was eliminated in early 2023. The Secretary General of the Russian Kyokushin Karate Federation served in a volunteer unit of the Russian Martial Arts Union.
