On Saturday, June 24, in the capital of Ireland, five young men beat 23-year-old Ukrainian actor Alexander Grekov. The terrible incident occurred after a performance of the Ukrainian version of the Irish play "Translations" at the Abbey Theatre. Before the war, the guy played at the Lesya Ukrainka Theater in Kiev.

This was reported by the Irish Mirror. According to Anastasia Pavlenko, assistant director for international activities of the Lesya Ukrainka National Theater, Alexander was smoking at the main entrance of the Dublin theater when a company of people approached him. They took the cigarette and tried to leave, but Grekov followed them (scroll to the bottom of the page to see the photo).

"Alexander was standing outside the Abbey Theatre after our last performance. He was smoking at the center entrance, and a group of people were trying to take a cigarette out of his mouth and pick up a pack of cigarettes. He tried to go after them and said: "Those are my cigarettes, what are you doing?" And a group of people started hitting him with a bottle," Pavlenko said.

The attackers broke a glass bottle over the head of a Ukrainian, and one of the girls present bit him. Five people were involved in the incident - two men and three women. After the beating, the artist was taken to the hospital and had his face stitched.

"I saw the blood and the hole in his head, I was shocked... There were five of them... The police and ambulance came pretty quickly. Everyone was very kind and gave first aid. We're all surprised because we thought Dublin was a good place, but sometimes shit happens, that's life. We're happy he's alive," Anastasia Pavlenko summarized.

The girl also said that now Sasha is taking painkillers, but feels a little better. She noted that there are huge wounds on his face, which will take a long time to heal.
