The last time the prince met with his father was in early February after Charles III's news of cancer. At that time, he came from California, USA, to support his father, though he came alone, without his children and wife Meghan Markle. Surprisingly, the man was with the king for only 45 minutes.

Later, he surprised the public by visiting his sick father at Sandringham Palace on Tuesday, February 6, and on Thursday, February 8, he appeared to give a speech at the 2024 National Football League. Supporters of the royal family were waiting for at least some mention of his father's health concerns, but in the midst of a loud speech, he did not say a word about him.

The Invictus Games, which the Duke of Sussex is scheduled to attend in May, were founded by him back in 2014 to help wounded, sick military personnel and veterans around the world with their rehabilitation, giving them the opportunity to compete in sports events similar to the Paralympic Games.
