On December 16, the world's shortest woman, Jyoti Amge, turned 31. This day was of particular importance for the Indian woman, as she set another record.

The official Guinness World Records website reported that Jyoti Amge became the woman with the smallest hands in the world. The length of her left palm is 7.1 centimeters, and the length of her right palm is 7.2 cm.

According to representatives of the Guinness Book of Records, the size of an Indian woman's hands is almost half the height of a Coca-Cola can or the diameter of a baseball. Because of this, things that are ordinary for most people seem gigantic in the palms of a woman's hands.

It is worth noting that Jyoti Amge first entered the Guinness Book of Records back in 2009. At the time, she was only 61.95 centimeters tall, making her the shortest teenage woman in the world. Since birth, she has been suffering from chondrodystrophy, a form of nanism that causes slow development of her cartilage tissues. Due to this pathology, the Indian woman's height has remained almost unchanged since her teenage years, now standing at 62.8 cm.

Jyoti Amge recently met with Rumeysa Gelgi, who is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the tallest woman in the world. They talked at a tea ceremony at The Savoy Hotel on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Guinness World Records.

The 27-year-old Turkish web developer joked that due to their great height difference, it was "hard to make eye contact," but they had a great time. The record holders discovered that they actually have a lot in common. They are both interested in makeup, personal care, and manicure.
