The song became prophetic. MamaRika talks about the crisis in her marriage for the first time: the trip to Bukovel killed us, it was a nightmare

Ukrainian singer MamaRika has admitted that her relationship with TV host Serhiy Sereda, which has lasted 9 years, is currently in crisis, and the couple realized this during their March vacation in the Carpathians. She says that the problems began six months ago, but no one paid much attention to it, even though they subconsciously understood that something was wrong.

The song "Someone is Coming," as MamaRika explains, was actually prophetic, because when she wrote it, experiences that no one had realized at the time were poured out onto paper. In a conversation with the Ministry of Prime Ministers, she said that the couple is trying to "get out" of the crisis, so they are undergoing family therapy.

"This is also a prophetic song because Vanko [Ivan Klymenko – producer] and I wrote it six months ago. And I remember these first lines that came to my mind: 'Call me a taxi to where I'm always young... I'll cry and come back to you, to myself, to us" – and I didn't understand where it came from. Everything seemed to be okay. But sometimes our subconscious mind reads in advance that something is happening. I didn't realize at the time that we already had some small problems in the family, but we didn't pay attention to them," MamaRika recalled.

She explained that a trip to the mountains, which actually brought the couple closer together, helped them understand all the problems in their relationship. The singer says the vacation turned into a nightmare, but she has no regrets.

"This trip finished us off. For the first time in four years, we were alone together, and this moment completely opened us up. When you are always hiding behind everyday life to avoid discussing important things. When you are left alone for the first time in such a long time, and you have nothing to say to each other, because it is so painful, it is so hard. I cried for three days in this Bukovel. Then I screamed for three days. It was a nightmare, not a trip. It was a kind of catharsis, a purification, an emotional execution, but it was necessary. I'm glad it happened because it brought out the real pain, and the conversations that needed to happen. Being alone is very useful, and we realized that we have really big problems, and we want to do something about it," she recalled.

MamaRika noted that she was a bit surprised by the coincidence of the track's release with the most critical moment in her relationship. In particular, she explains that the coverage of personal problems does not entail a drop of hype, and fans would have learned about the problems in the family anyway, having traced the absence of Serhiy Sereda on her social networks.

"We were saving it all for later. Work, kids, you're in a hurry. And you don't always find time to take it seriously, discuss it, and do something about it. The song came out at the exact moment when we are in the middle of a real crisis. We are in a crisis of a scale that has never happened before in the nine years we have been together. We are going through a very difficult period now," the singer said.
