The representative of Ukraine at 'Miss Universe 2023' wore a symbolic look for a crucial stage of the competition: what meanings it conceals
On November 15, El Salvador hosted a private interview for all Miss Universe 2023 participants with the preliminary jury, determining the 20 semifinalists. The attire for this stage should also be special and convey an important message that a delegate would like to express. That is why the representative of Ukraine, Anhelina Usanova, chose a unique costume with many symbols hidden in it.
Thus, the Ukrainian beauty wore a light pantsuit, adorning the collar of her jacket with a snow-white dove, a symbol of peace and tranquility that our people need. According to representatives of the Ukrainian delegation to the pageant, the costume for the private interview should reflect the contestant's personality, help convey her message to the world, and represent her country's culture or a social initiative she supports.

As previously noted, Anhelina is wearing a light-colored suit, with special attention paid to the fitted jacket. In addition to the symbolic dove on the collar, the Ukrainian woman displays a unique pattern on the back of the garment. It is a map of Ukraine with all our territories, including the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, held by huge hands against the backdrop of a peaceful sky. Doves are also flying around, symbolizing the approaching end of the war.

The message states that the color of the outfit was also chosen for a reason. White is a symbol of purity, peace, and goodness. In addition, the jacket features an image of a Trident wrapped in golden ears.

"The interview lasts 5 minutes, and during this time, each delegate should express herself as much as possible and voice her message that she would like to convey to the world through the pageant platform," the statement said.
As a reminder, Ukraine's representative at Miss Universe, Anhelina Usanova, has already presented her luxurious national costume, which she will wear on November 16. The symbolic image called "Berehynia Mother" was created over 1.5 months, and some of its elements were printed on a 3D printer. As OBOZ.UA reported, the event was not without scandals. At the welcome party in El Salvador, Anhelina sat at the same table as a Russian woman. Apparently, the pageant organizers are once again trying to create the illusion of "friendship" between participants from warring countries. Interestingly, the Ukrainian woman did not refuse this seat and did not ask to be moved. This caused concern among Ukrainian fans.
